Watch Sadie and Jack’s presentation to the All Party Parliamentary Group for Vegetarianism and Veganism on their work in brining ethical veganism into the local government arena (36 mins in).

Chaired by Christina Rees MP, other speakers include Peter Daly, Principal Employment Lawyer at Slater and Gordon. Peter litigated on behalf of Jordi Casamitjana Costa in a landmark employment tribunal, which established that ethical veganism is a protected philosophical belief, protected by discrimination legislation. Also featuring Dr Jeannette Rowley, The Vegan Society’s legal expert and chair of its International Rights Network. In early 2020 the network produced a guide for employers about supporting veganism in the workplace.
